The purpose of these in-person or virtual consultations is to discuss the client’s probate or estate planning needs in detail, provide tailored advice, and explore the potential engagement of our probate or estate planning services.
a. In-person or virtual consultations for probate or estate planning services require a scheduled appointment and payment of a consultation fee.
b. The consultation fee for Will package consultations is $100 for a 30 minute consultation. For consultations to discuss Living Trusts or Probate matters, the consultation fee is $200 for a one-hour consultation.
c. Upon signing an engagement contract for probate or estate planning services with Matthews & Jaasma, L.L.P., the consultation fees paid will be credited towards any future billings or hourly services rendered in relation to probate or estate planning matters.
d. In-person consultations will be held at our designated office location, while virtual consultations will be conducted via Zoom.
Potential clients can schedule a 15-minute free phone consultation to briefly discuss the legal matter, determine what legal services are needed, or to answer questions before scheduling an in-person or virtual consultation.
a. Potential clients are kindly requested to cancel or reschedule consultations with a minimum of 24 hours’ advance notice to receive a refund of the paid consultation fee. Please allow 3 business days to process the refund.
b. Cancellations or rescheduling requests can be made by emailing the attorney, replying to the confirmation email, or calling (832) 717-2900 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
c. If a client fails to provide advance notice for cancellation or rescheduling, a fee may be charged, except in cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Our office is located in Sugar Land’s Riverstone area on Cabrera behind Kroger to serve our Fort Bend neighbors in Sugar Land, Missouri City, Richmond, and Rosenberg as well as residents of the greater Houston area.
